Monique Mulder-Wallace Pottery Studio is please to offer a variety of hand building workshops. Workshops will be held for two evenings, one week apart and are there hours each.
Registration Fee: $135+ $17.55 (HST) = $152.55 Your registration fee included instruction, clay, glazes, firings studio tools and equipment.
No experience required!
FULL Workshop 1
SLAB TRAYS AND PINCH BOWL
Dates: Tuesday, September 5 and Tuesday, September 12, 2023 Time: 6:30 – 9:30 pm
Create slab, footed, serving trays and a pinch bowl. We will explore texture and surface decoration. You will finish and glaze your work.
Workshop 2
PLANTERS
Dates: Tuesday, September 19 and Tuesday, September 26, 2023. Time: 6:30 – 9:30 pm
Using the slab method, we will make four inch and six inch pots for your house plants.
Workshop 3
SERVING TRAYS WITH TEXTURE AND LAYERD GLAZE SURFACES
Dates: Tuesday, January 9 and Tuesday, January 16, 2024 Time: 6:30 – 9:30 pm
Create beautiful and functional trays. We will explore texture and multi layered glaze surfaces.
Workshop 4
TRAYS WITH COLOURFUL SLIP TRANSFERS
Dates: Tuesday, 23 and Tuesday, January 30, 2024. Time: 6:30 – 9:30 pm
Using the slab method, build footed serving trays and decorate with various slip transfers.
FULL Workshop 5
SERVING TRAYS AND UNDERGLAZE
Dates: Tuesday, February 27 and Tuesday, March 5, 2024. Time: 6:30 – 9:30 pm
Create functional serving trays and explore with world of underglazes and layered, textured surfaces.
Workshop 6
BOWLS
Dates: Tuesday, March 12 and Tuesday, March 19, 2024. Time: 6:30 – 9:30 pm
Using the slab method, we will make a variety a bowls for your home. You will finish and glaze your work.
Workshop 7
FLOWER VASES AND COLOURFUL TRANSFERS
Dates: Tuesday, May 14 and Tuesday, May 21. Time: 6:30 – 9:30 pm
Create hand built flower vases and decorate with various, colourful slip transfers. You will finish and glaze your work.
Workshop 8
MUGS AND CUPS
Dates: May 28 and June 11 Time: 6:30 – 9:30 pm
Make a variety of hand built mugs and cups for your coffee, tea and soup. We will explore layered, textured surfaces. You will finish and glaze your work.
How to register: Email the studio with your preferred class(es) session. If space is available in that class, you will receive a confirmation email. Once you have received confirmation, please send your registration fee by e-transfer to moniquemulderwallace@gmail.com within 48 hours of your confirmation being sent to you. Pease check your email frequently!
In the event that payment is not received as requested, your space will be offered to another potter. Thank you for your understanding. Once the transaction of your registration fee is complete, you will receive a “Welcome to Pottery” email with details about what to bring, paring and much more! It’s that easy!
The ICKY Fine Print: Registering for a class assumes your acceptance of the following:
• Registration fee is non refundable and is due, in full, at the time of registration.
• No refunds or extra studio time will be offered for missed classes.
• In the event of severe weather related driving conditions, when it is deemed necessary to cancel a class, a make-up class will be offered.
• Only work made in class will be fired.
