2013 Adult Pottery Classes

Learn to create functional and decorative pottery through various hand building techniques and by throwing on the potter’s wheel. Explore form and function, surface decoration, finishing techniques, glazing and firing. Work at your own pace with individual instruction, in a relaxed atmosphere. All skill levels are welcome!

Classes

Each session is six weeks. The cost per session is $200.00. All glazes and firings are included. Clay is $25 for an 11 kilogram bag of black stoneware, to be purchased through the studio. You may purchase a tool kit from the studio for $15.00, or bring your own tools. All additional tools are provided. The studio has a potter’s wheel for each student.

What To Bring

A journal or notebook. An old towel or two.

Wear comfortable clothes that can get dirty, pottery can be messy! Bring a pair of old shoes and an apron that can be worn in the studio.
